You can use any kind of chocolate or caramel sauce you like. It also pairs well with a variety of dippers.

Grab some fresh fruit, crunchy pretzels, graham crackers, or your favorite cookies, and get ready to enjoy a mouthwatering dessert that’ll have everyone begging for the recipe! How to make the best turtle cheesecake dip:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar, then mix until smooth.
- Fold in the thawed whipped topping, then mix in ¾ cup of chopped pecans and ¾ cup mini chocolate chips. Transfer the dip to a 9-inch pie plate and spread it into an even layer.
- Nuke the caramel dip slightly in the microwave to make it more suitable for drizzling, then drizzle caramel sauce and chocolate syrup on top.
- Finish with remaining pecans and chocolate chips. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate until serving!
This is likely the easiest cheesecake-based recipe you’ll ever make! No need to mess with a water bath, springform pan, or even muffin tins. Everything is assembled right in the bowl!
Imagine the creaminess of cheesecake mixed with irresistible, gooey caramel and chocolate topped with crunchy pecans and mini chocolate chips. Plus, no special equipment is required because even though this dip tastes just like cheesecake, there is no baking is needed!
My top tips:
- SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE: It’s important you’re using softened cream cheese so that it will incorporate smoothly into the other ingredients. If you don’t want to wait for a block of cream cheese to soften, you can use whipped cream cheese from the tub instead.
- WHIPPED TOPPING: Using frozen whipped topping adds even more ease and convenience to this already easy recipe! Rather than taking the time to whip heavy cream, just make sure you’re whipped topping is fully thawed before use.
- SERVING BOWL: I like serving this dip in something wide and shallow, like a pie plate, so that there’s more surface area for the caramel sauce, chocolate, and extra toppings in every bite! If you’d rather serve in a bowl, I recommend adding a layer of caramel and chocolate sauce in the middle as well.
- CARAMEL DIP: I like using a caramel dip rather than a caramel sauce for this recipe because I find that caramel dip is thicker and more flavorful. I do recommend warming the caramel dip slightly in the microwave to make it more suitable for drizzling but that’s it!
- MAKING IN ADVANCE: You can make this dip ahead of time and store it covered in the fridge for up to 3 days. I do recommend taking it out of the fridge about 20 minutes ahead of time to let it soften a little before enjoying.
