- Powdered sugar
- Cream cheese- softened to room temperature
- Peanut butter
- Vanilla extract

How to make the best peanut butter cup cheesecake dip:
- Start by unwrapping and cutting all your mini peanut butter cups into fourths. You’re just looking for bite sized pieces. Then set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and powdered sugar. Using an electric mixer, whip to form stiff peaks. Set aside.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter cheesecake mixture. Once combined, fold in mini chocolate chips and a little over half of the chopped Reese’s cups.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, then top with more chocolate chips and chopped peanut butter cups. Enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator for later.
I love serving this peanut butter cup cheesecake dip with a variety of dippers. I’ve stuck to the peanut butter and chocolate theme by serving mine with peanut butter sandwich cookies and fudge stripe cookies (my all-time favorite) but here are some other delicious options:
- Graham crackers
- Pretzels
- Vanilla wafers
- Apple slices
- Oreos
My top tips:
- WHIPPED CREAM: I prefer whipping heavy cream and powdered sugar together in this recipe to make a homemade whipped cream instead of using a frozen whipped topping (aka Cool Whip). If you’re in a pinch, you can substitute a thawed 8 oz tub of whipped topping in place of the heavy cream.
- SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE: It’s very important that you’re using softened cream cheese in this recipe to avoid ending up with a lumpy dip. Cold cream cheese just doesn’t incorporate into the other ingredients as smoothly as softened cream cheese does.
- ELECTRIC MIXER: I do recommend bringing out your electric mixer for this dip because it makes whipping the heavy cream a breeze and whips a lot of air into the dip making it extra light and fluffy!
- PB CUPS: The little chunks of chopped peanut butter cups in combination with the bites of mini chocolate chips brings a lot of delicious texture to this otherwise creamy dip! I do recommend taking the time to cut your mini Reese’s cups into fourths so that you’re left with bite sized pieces.
- FOLDING NOT MIXING: If using an electric mixer, be sure to switch to a rubber spatula when folding in the mini chocolate chips and peanut butter cup pieces. This ensures the peanut butter cup pieces will stay chunky rather than break down. Also be sure to set some aside for topping!
- PREPPING IN ADVANCE: As this dip chills in the fridge, it becomes more solid. If you’ve made this in advance and want a creamier texture, I recommend letting it sit out at room temperature for 20 minutes, then give it a quick whip with an electric mixer to make it fluffy again!
