Why you’ll love this recipe:

Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Dip is so popular because it’s incredibly easy to make, requires no baking, transforms a beloved nostalgic holiday treat into a creamy dessert, and pairs well with almost anything—making it a fun, festive, and budget-friendly recipe that everyone loves during the Christmas season.

The magic behind this dip comes from the iconic Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes themselves. These cakes are already soft, creamy, and perfectly sweet with their signature vanilla flavor and light crunch from the red and green sprinkles.

When blended into a dip, they transform into a rich, whipped, mousse-like dessert that tastes like Christmas nostalgia in every bite. The combination of the cake’s vanilla sponge and buttery crème filling creates the perfect sweet base—no extra sugar required.

This dip is festive, fluffy, nostalgic, and ridiculously easy to make. Whether you’re hosting a holiday party, planning a cozy movie night, or need a last-minute sweet treat, this dip delivers every time!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Cream cheese- softened
  • Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes- crumbled
  • Vanilla extract
  • Cool Whip- thawed
  • Holiday sprinkles

Crumbled up snack cakes, cream cheese, whipped topping… it’s all so simple, and it only takes a few minutes to prepare. You can dip with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, and just about any kind of cookie!

This holiday dip pairs well with just about anything. Try serving it with:

  • Vanilla wafers
  • Graham crackers
  • Pretzel rods or pretzel twists (the sweet-salty combo is incredible!)
  • Shortbread cookies
  • Apple slices
  • Strawberries
  • Animal crackers

The versatility makes it a guaranteed hit at parties—everyone can choose their favorite dipper.

Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Dip is perfect for Christmas because it’s a quick, no-bake dessert that captures nostalgic holiday flavor, requires only a few simple ingredients, and pairs perfectly with a variety of dippers—making it an easy, festive crowd-pleaser for any holiday gathering.

How to make the best Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Dip:

  • Add the softened cream cheese into a large mixing bowl, then break the Christmas tree cakes into smaller pieces and add them to the bowl along with the vanilla extract.
  • Mix the cream cheese and christmas tree cakes with an electric mixer until combined.
  • Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip, then fold in ½ cup of sprinkles, and mix again to combine.
  • Transfer the dip to your serving bowl, top with more sprinkles, then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

This dip is popular because it’s unbelievably easy. Simply crumble the cakes, mix with cream cheese, and fold in whipped topping. With zero baking required, it’s a quick dessert that looks impressive without the effort.

The rich flavor of this dip comes from the fan favorite Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes. Their soft vanilla cake, creamy filling, and crunchy sprinkles blend into a smooth, mousse-like dip that tastes like pure holiday nostalgia. No extra sugar or complicated ingredients needed.

This dip is ideal for Christmas parties, family gatherings, potlucks, dessert boards, or cozy holiday nights at home. Its creamy texture and festive cake pieces add instant holiday spirit to any event.

This dessert screams holiday cheer. Its creamy white base with festive cake pieces makes it a beautiful addition to:

  • Christmas parties
  • Family gatherings
  • Office potlucks
  • Holiday charcuterie boards or dessert boards
  • Christmas Eve snacks
  • Festive movie nights

Because it’s so easy to transport and serve, it’s a go-to recipe for December festivities.

My top tips:

  • CREAM CHEESE: It’s important you’re using softened cream cheese so that it will incorporate smoothly into the other ingredients. If you don’t want to wait for a block of cream cheese to soften, you can use whipped cream cheese from the tub instead.
  • CHRISTMAS TREE CAKES: If you can’t find the tree cakes, you can also use Little Debbie zebra cakes, which are basically the same thing in this recipe. Since the cakes are broken up, you won’t notice the difference.
  • DON’T OVERMIX: I do recommend bringing out your electric mixer for this dip because it makes combining the ingredients a breeze and whips a lot of air into the dip making it extra light and fluffy! Don’t go overboard mixing though- part of what makes this dip so delicious are the chunks cake throughout!
  • COOL WHIP: The Cool Whip needs to be completely thawed before mixing with the other ingredients. You do not want any frozen bits of whipped topping in the dip.
  • MAKING IN ADVANCE: If you are making this dip in advance, I recommend waiting to add the sprinkles until right before serving. Otherwise, they will bleed into the dip and look messy.
  • DIPPING: You can use cookies, fruit, or pretzels to dip into your Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Dip. Popular choices include graham crackers, animal crackers, vanilla wafers, and other shortbread or sugar cookies. Other great options are fresh fruit like strawberries and grapes, or for a salty contrast try pretzels!
  • STORING: You can make this dip ahead of time and store it covered in the fridge for up to 4 days. I do recommend taking it out of the fridge about 20 minutes ahead of time to let it soften a little before enjoying.
