Banana Pudding Popcorn is a sweet, crunchy treat that turns the classic flavors of banana pudding into an easy no-bake snack with popcorn, white chocolate, banana pudding mix, mini Nilla Wafers, marshmallows, and banana chips.

Banana Pudding Popcorn

If you can’t get enough of banana pudding, be sure to check out my other banana pudding-inspired recipes like Banana Pudding Bites, Banana Pudding Hawaiian Rolls, and Banana Pudding Dip for even more easy, nostalgic treats packed with that classic banana-and-vanilla flavor everyone loves!

Why you’ll love this recipe:

If you’re a fan of classic banana pudding, this Banana Pudding Popcorn is about to become your new favorite snack. It has everything you love about the nostalgic dessert—sweet banana flavor, crunchy vanilla cookies, and creamy sweetness—but in a fun, snackable form that’s perfect for grabbing by the handful!

Instead of serving banana pudding in a bowl, this recipe turns those familiar flavors into an easy no-bake treat. Fluffy popcorn, mini marshmallows, crunchy mini Nilla Wafers, and banana chips get coated in melted white chocolate mixed with banana pudding mix. Every bite has a little bit of everything, making it impossible to stop at just one handful.

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how much it tastes like the real thing. The banana pudding mix gives the coating that classic banana flavor, while the white chocolate adds a creamy sweetness that reminds me of the pudding itself. Then the mini Nilla Wafers bring in that familiar cookie crunch that every good banana pudding needs. Add in chewy banana chips and soft marshmallows, and you’ve got a snack that’s sweet, crunchy, and full of texture!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Microwave popcorn
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Mini Nilla Wafers
  • Banana chips
  • White chocolate chips
  • Vegetable oil
  • Banana pudding mix

I love calling this snackable banana pudding because that’s exactly what it is. It has all the flavors of the classic dessert, but instead of needing a spoon, you can enjoy it by the handful. It’s the kind of treat that disappears quickly at parties because everyone keeps coming back for “just one more bite.”

The best part? It’s incredibly easy to make. There isn’t any baking involved, and the whole recipe comes together in just a few simple steps. Combine the popcorn, marshmallows, mini Nilla Wafers, and banana chips then coat everything in the melted white chocolate and banana pudding mix! After the coating sets, it’s ready to enjoy.

This is also one of those recipes that’s perfect for almost any occasion. It makes a fun movie night snack, a cute addition to dessert tables, and an easy homemade gift during the holidays. I’ve even packed it into treat bags for parties, and it’s always one of the first things to disappear.

What really makes this Banana Pudding Popcorn stand out is the mix of textures. The popcorn stays light and crisp, the white chocolate coating adds just enough sweetness, the marshmallows are soft and chewy, the banana chips give little bursts of banana flavor, and the mini Nilla Wafers add the perfect crunch. Every handful is a little different, which somehow makes it even harder to stop eating.

How to make the best Banana Pudding Popcorn:

  • Pour the popcorn into a large bowl, remove any unpopped kernels, then add in the mini marshmallows, mini Nilla Wafers, and banana chips. Mix to combine, then set it aside.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth. Then stir in the banana pudding mix.
  • Pour the banana flavored chocolate over the popcorn and stir to fully coat.
  • Transfer the popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and push it into an even layer.
  • Let the chocolate set completely, then break into pieces!

If you love easy dessert recipes, this one deserves a spot on your list. It feels special enough for celebrations but is simple enough to throw together anytime you’re craving something sweet. Since there’s no baking and very little prep, it’s also a great recipe to make with kids.

Whether you’re looking for a unique party snack, a fun no-bake dessert, or just a new way to enjoy the flavors of banana pudding, this recipe delivers. It’s sweet, crunchy, creamy, and packed with everything people love about the classic dessert.

Once you make this Banana Pudding Popcorn, don’t be surprised if it becomes your go-to sweet snack. It’s quick, easy, and tastes just like banana pudding in every crunchy, delicious bite!

My top tips:

  • POPCORN: You’ll need roughly 10 cups of popcorn for this recipe- but it’s up to you how you pop it. Feel free to pop your own using about 1/2 cup kernels, use a microwave bag, or buy pre-popped popcorn. Just be sure to remove any unpopped kernels.
  • BOWL SIZE: Use the biggest bowl you can find for tossing the popcorn! A big bowl makes it so much easier to ensure the popcorn gets fully coated in the white chocolate mixture. I also recommend using a rubber spatula here to avoid crushing the popcorn too much.
  • MELTING CHOCOLATE: I recommend microwaving the chocolate in 30 second intervals to prevent any burning. White chocolate can be especially temperamental and prone to clumping, so it’s important to melt it down slowly.
  • VEGETABLE OIL: Adding a little vegetable oil to the chocolate chips is my secret trick for silky smooth chocolate every time! The vegetable oil thins out the chocolate and makes it much easier to coat the popcorn.
  • WORK QUICKLY: White chocolate hardens quickly, so mix it with the popcorn immediately after it is fully melted.
  • CHILLING: You can let the banana chocolate coating set at room temperature, but it will take longer for the chocolate to fully harden. To speed up the process, feel free to place the popcorn in the fridge for 15 minutes to set the chocolate.
  • STORING: Store Banana Pudding Popcorn in an airtight container and keep it in a cool, dry place for up to 2 days. It’s also important to let the popcorn cool completely before storing. If you store it while still warm, the popcorn will lose that crispy texture. For longer storage, enjoy it straight from the freezer for up to 3 weeks!
