I absolutely love this peanut butter Bugle recipe because it’s incredibly simple yet so satisfying. The combination of Bugles crisp texture with the smooth, sweet peanut butter is always a winner in my book. How to make the best Chocolate Peanut Butter Bugles:
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and sort through the Bugles, setting aside any that are flat, broken, or have no opening. You won’t use those.
- Using an electric mixer, cream the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add another tablespoon or 2 of milk to thin.
- Transfer the peanut butter filling into a piping bag or ziploc bag, cut off one end, and fill each Bugle with the peanut butter mixture.
- In a small microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips with vegetable oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth.
- Dip the filled end of each Bugle into the melted chocolate, then place on your prepared baking sheet to set up. Store in an airtight container once the chocolate is set.

If you’ve ever craved the perfect combination of sweet and salty, then Peanut Butter Stuffed Bugles are the snack you’ve been waiting for! With a crunchy, salty base, creamy peanut butter filling, and smooth chocolate coating, this treat is impossible to resist. Perfect for snack time, parties, or just a quick bite, these little morsels are a real crowd-pleaser.
There’s just something irresistible about a chocolate and peanut butter combination, isn’t there? Toss in some Bugles, then make it bite-sized and snackable? It’s a combo that makes these perfectly snackable little bites dangerous, because they’re just so easy (and tasty) to pop in your mouth.

My top tips:
- BUGLES: This delicious snack is made using original flavor Bugles, not nacho cheese. While you can make brand new recipes using the nacho cheese flavored Bugles, this isn’t one I’d recommend them in.
- PEANUT BUTTER MIXTURE: If you have an electric mixer, I recommend bringing it out to mix the peanut butter filling. I find the peanut butter mixture is smoother and comes together much easier this way.
- FILLING: PIPING: Transferring the peanut butter filling into a piping bag or Ziploc bag helps the filling reach the bottom of each Bugle, prevents them from breaking while being handled, and controls how much filling you’re piping into to the Bugles which keeps them nice and neat!
- MELTING CHOCOLATE: It’s best to microwave the chocolate in 30 second intervals to prevent any burning. I also like adding vegetable oil to the chocolate to thin it out a little and make it a better consistency for dipping. You could use coconut oil or another neutral oil for a similar result.
- PREPARED BAKING SHEET: Be sure to let the chocolate dipped Bugles set on a sheet of parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking. This ensures the chilled chocolate will easily release from the baking sheet when you’re ready to enjoy.
- CHILLING: You can let these peanut butter stuffed Bugles set at room temperature, but it will take hours for the chocolate to fully harden. To speed up the process, feel free to place them in the fridge or freezer for 15 minutes to set the chocolate faster.
- STORING: Once the chocolate has completely set, I like storing any leftovers in an airtight container or Ziploc bag at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Just keep them in a cool place to prevent the chocolate from melting.
