Oreo Fluff

Just when you thought cookies and cream couldn’t get any better, Oreo fluff dessert salad came along! This easy, no bake dessert is full of pudding, whipped cream, Oreos and marshmallows for a decadent treat everyone will love.

Why you’ll love this recipe:

No bake desserts are my favorite when it comes to finding the perfect potluck, holiday, or summer cookout dish. Usually, they can be made in advance, call for minimal ingredients, and don’t require much prep time. In this case, all you need is 7 simple ingredients, 10 minutes of time, and you’re sure to be a hit at any party you bring this to!

Easy Oreo fluff is made with instant pudding mix and a few other basic ingredients to create a light and creamy texture that literally melts in your mouth! The chewy marshmallows and crisp Oreo cookies are truly a match made in heaven. Afterall, mini marshmallows always make everything better! 馃槈

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • White chocolate instant pudding
  • Milk
  • Cream cheese
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Oreos
  • Mini marshmallows

Feel free to try this recipe with different flavors of Oreos and/or instant pudding! Mint or double chocolate Oreos are some of my favorites! If white chocolate pudding isn’t doing it for you, grab a box of instant vanilla or cheesecake pudding instead!

One of my favorite things on this earth is an Oreo ice cream blizzard- the little chunks of Oreo cookies blended into vanilla ice cream is something I’ll forever love and crave! When I can’t make it to the ice cream shop, I pull out this recipe am always so glad I did. Oreo fluff is full of cookies and cream goodness and can be treated as a pudding or a dip. One bite and you’ll be hooked!

How to make the best Oreo fluff:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant pudding and milk. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and the pudding has thickened.
  • In a separate bowl, combine heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Whisk until the mixture has stiff peaks and resembles whipped cream (an electric mixer is helpful here).
  • Add the cream cheese and homemade whipped cream to the bowl of pudding. Whisk to combine, then fold in crushed Oreos and mini marshmallows (reserve a few for topping).
  • Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl, then top with remaining Oreos and marshmallows. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for 2 hours for a softer texture.

The longer you chill this in the fridge, the more the cookies will soften and break down. If you like that soft and fluffy texture, be sure to chill this for at least 2 hours. If you’re more into the texture of crunchy cookies, I recommend enjoying this dessert immediately.

You can eat this as is or treat it like a dip and serve with graham crackers, Oreos, Nilla Wafers, or any kind of cut up fruits! If you’re a dessert addict like me, you’ll enjoy it right out of the bowl like you would a pudding.

My top tips:

  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened so that it’s easy to incorporate into the other ingredients without becoming lumpy. You’ll also want to be sure you’re using instant pudding or else the dessert may not set up right and you could end up with a soupy texture.
  • Most dessert salad recipes will call for whipped topping (or cool whip) but I find it tastier to make homemade whipped cream. If you like the convenience of whipped topping, just swap out the step of whipping heavy cream and powdered sugar to make whipped cream for 8 oz of thawed whipped topping instead.
  • I just break the Oreo cookies with my hands because I like chunkier pieces but feel free to pulse them in a food processor two or three times to break them up. Just try to avoid creating Oreo crumbs or else your dessert will turn an odd shade of grey when you fold them in!
  • It’s important to fold the Oreos and mini marshmallows into the other ingredients so that the dessert says light and fluffy. If you use a mixer for this step, you’ll risk deflating the fluffy texture of this delicious dessert.
  • Oreo fluff is great to make ahead of time and leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. If you make this ahead of time but still want a crunchy texture, just hold off on folding in the Oreos and marshmallows until you’re ready to serve.
