Mint Chocolate Chip Dip is a creamy, nostalgic dessert dip that has a combination of mint chocolate flavors with a cheesecake twist! Made with a handful of ingredients and ready to serve in 5 minutes, this no-bake treat is perfect for any occasion!

Dessert dips are such a fun way to take the flavors of classic desserts and turn them into a dunkable, scoopable dip! Some of my other favorite dessert dips are Hot Chocolate Dip, Key Lime Pie Dip, Strawberry Cheesecake Dip, and Banana Pudding Dip.
An added bonus is that more often than not, these dips are no bake desserts, which means you get all the benefits of the flavors without having to worry about turning on the oven or using any fancy kitchen gadgets!

This mint chip cheesecake dip would be perfect for a last-minute St. Patrick’s Day recipe as it’s a quick green dessert that everyone will enjoy. Serve it with graham crackers and/or cookies. I, on the other hand, will be enjoying this dip all year round as I love mint chocolate chip for any occasion!
While I call this a St. Patrick’s Day dessert dip because it’s green, you could really serve this any time of year – it’d be the perfect addition to this Turtle Cheesecake Dip for the holidays! Here’s some ways to customize it for other occasions.
- St. Patrick’s Day: Add some edible gold stars and rainbow sprinkles to make it even more fun.
- Christmas: Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies or candy cane pieces on top for garnish.
- Halloween: Sprinkle candy eyeballs on top to create a minty monster dip.

My top tips:
- ELECTRIC MIXER: I do recommend bringing out your electric mixer for this dip because it makes combining the ingredients a breeze and whips a lot of air into the dip making it extra light and fluffy!
- SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE: It’s important you’re using softened cream cheese so that it will incorporate smoothly into the other ingredients. If you don’t want to wait for a block of cream cheese to soften, you can use whipped cream cheese from the tub instead.
- PEPPERMINT EXTRACT: Be sure you get peppermint extract — don’t be tempted to use spearmint, or all-purpose mint flavoring — you’ll wind up with something that tastes of toothpaste, and that’s not the effect we’re after!
- FOOD COLORING: I recommend using green gel food coloring because it has a higher concentration than liquid and it won’t impact the consistency of your dip to get a good green color. All food coloring is different, so start with a small amount and remember that you can always add more, but you can’t take it away!
- WHIPPED TOPPING: Using frozen whipped topping adds even more ease and convenience to this already easy recipe! Rather than taking the time to whip heavy cream, just make sure you’re whipped topping is fully thawed before use.
- MAKING IN ADVANCE: As this dip chills in the fridge, it thickens slightly. If you’ve made this in advance and want a fluffier texture, I recommend letting it sit out at room temperature for 20 minutes before enjoying.

I like to double up on the mint experience by serving this dip with mint Oreo cookies, but there are plenty of other options that go well with mint. Nilla wafers, graham crackers, pretzels, broken waffle cones, and fresh fruit are some of my favorites!
