This key lime pie dip combines the sweet and tart flavors of key lime pie in a cream cheese dip! It’s sweet, zesty, and perfectly refreshing!
If you like this key lime pie dip, you’ll love my coconut cream pie dip too! It has all the flavors of coconut cream pie but served up as a delicious no-bake dessert dip.
Why you’ll love this recipe:
Let’s be honest with each other, the best part of any pie is the filling! Especially if it’s key lime pie! This creamy dip is essentially the inside of a key lime pie, just made less time consuming.
Sweet and slightly tangy, this easy key lime pie dip is loaded with no bake lime cheesecake and topped with graham cracker crumbs! When served alongside more graham crackers for dipping, it’s just like a key lime pie without all the hassle!
Ingredients you’ll need:
- Heavy whipping cream
- Powdered sugar
- Cream cheese- softened
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Lime juice
- Lime zest
- Graham cracker crumbs
If you know me, you know I love a good dessert dip. It’s such a fun way to serve dessert to a crowd and this dip is one of my all-time favorites for parties, potlucks, and family gatherings!
Key lime pie dip is an easy, no bake dessert dip that takes minutes to make! It’s creamy, tangy, and satisfies all your key lime pie cravings without needing to turn on the oven.
How to make the best key lime pie dip:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and powdered sugar. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream until it reaches stiff peaks, then set aside.
- In another mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and lime juice. Mix until smooth, then fold in the whipped cream from earlier.
- Transfer the dip to a 9-inch pie plate, then top with graham cracker crumbs and lime zest. Refrigerate until ready to enjoy!
Zesty key lime pie dip can be enjoyed with a variety of dippers! Some of my go-to’s are graham crackers, vanilla wafers, and strawberries, but here’s some other options:
- Golden Oreos
- Shortbread cookies
- Animal crackers
- Biscoff cookies
- Tropical fruits
My top tips:
- USE AN ELECTRIC MIXER: I recommend using an electric hand mixer for this recipe for multiple reasons! It whips the heavy cream much faster than by hand, it gets any lumps out of the cream cheese, and keeps the dip super light and fluffy!
- WHIPPING CREAM VS COOL WHIP: To make this recipe even easier, feel free to skip the step of whipping fresh cream with powdered sugar together and just use thawed cool whip (or whipped topping) instead. You’ll need one 8-ounce tub of thawed cool whip for this recipe.
- SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE: It’s important you’re using softened cream cheese so that it will incorporate smoothly into the other ingredients. If you don’t want to wait for a block of cream cheese to soften, you can use whipped cream cheese from the tub instead.
- KEY LIMES VS LIMES: If you’d rather use key limes in this recipe, go for it! I just use regular limes because they’re bigger which makes them easier to zest, they’re a little more accessible at the grocery store and you really can’t tell any difference between the two in this recipe anyway!
- ZESTING THE LIMES: Try to remember to zest your limes before squeezing all the juice out of them! This makes zesting much easier since the limes are still firm and in one piece. Just reserve the lime zest for topping the dip later.
- MAKING IN ADVANCE: You can make this dip ahead of time and store it covered in the fridge for up to 3 days. I do recommend taking it out of the fridge about 20 minutes ahead of time to let it soften a little.

Have you ever tried this with lemon/
Lemon juice?
Sophie says
Hi Tawni, I haven’t tried lemon juice, but I’m sure it would work just the same as lime! Hope you try it!

There is a huge difference between REAL “Key Limes” and limes! Ripe Key Limes are yellow not green! Persian Limes are passed off as Key Limes and are a substitute, but there is nothing like real Key Limes, if you can find them! Real Key Limes have gotten rare. As a fourth generation citrus grower, we grew a lot of them in our grove before “Citrus-greening” wiped out most every tree!

what do you use to dip? Graham crackers?
Sophie says
Hi! Graham crackers are a great option for dipping. Some other options are Nilla Wafers, golden Oreos, shortbread cookies, animal crackers, Biscoff cookies, and tropical fruits! Hope this helps! 馃檪
