Italian sausage dip is creamy, cheesy and can be served with whatever chips or toasted bread you like! This recipe is everything you could ever want in a dip!

Why you’ll love this easy sausage dip:

Perfect for game days, parties and only takes 30 minutes to make! You’ll love this dip for its creaminess and slightly spicy flavor.

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Mild or hot Italian sausage
  • Softened cream cheese
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Banana peppers
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Italian seasoning

One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it takes barely any effort to make! Other than browning sausage, all you have to do is combine all the ingredients and bake!

How to make creamy Italian sausage dip:

  • In a pan over medium heat, break up and brown your sausage. Drain off any excess grease, then transfer the sausage to a mixing bowl.
  • In the same bowl, add in softened cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes, drained and chopped banana peppers, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 9 inch cast iron or 10.5 inch X 7.5 inch baking dish. Spread into an even layer, then top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with toasted bread or chips of choice!

Tips for the best sausage dip:

  • Brown the sausage prior to adding it to the dip. You’ll want to drain off any grease before adding the sausage to the dip or else your dip may turn out greasy. Feel free to use mild or hot sausage depending on the level of spice you like!
  • Use softened cream cheese! It’s much easier to combine everything evenly when the cream cheese is room temperature.
  • Drain the tomatoes and banana peppers before adding them to the dip. You don’t want to have too much excess liquid in the dip… this will keep it nice and creamy!
  • I like adding shredded mozzarella inside the dip and on top because it results in a beautiful golden-brown color and delicious cheese pull!
