Who said dips have to be savory?! This festive funfetti dip (dunkaroo dip) only takes 5 minutes to make and is what edible cake batter dreams are made of!

Why you’ll love no bake funfetti dip:

If you’re always licking the spatula after mixing cake batter, you’re going to love this funfetti dip!

This creamy dessert dip tastes just like funfetti cake batter, but can be enjoyed without consuming raw eggs or raw flour (which means you get all the flavor without any of the worry)!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Plain yogurt
  • Vanilla extract
  • Funfetti cake mix- be sure to follow the instructions for heat-treating
  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Dippers of choice (graham crackers, vanilla wafers, mini chocolate chip cookies, teddy grahams, or animal crackers. You could even dip cut fruits like strawberries, apples, or pineapple too)

You may have heard of this delicious, creamy dessert dip referred to dunkaroo dip, cake batter dip, or funfetti dip!

I love this crowd-pleasing dessert dip because it only requires a handful of simple ingredients and is so easy to make. All you need do is mix everything together and serve this easy, no bake dip to your friends and family (or keep it for yourself, I won’t judge)!

How to make the best funfetti dip:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar. Using an electric mixer, whip to form stiff peaks.
  • Once whipped, fold in the yogurt and vanilla extract.
  • Transfer your cake mix to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 60-90 seconds or until it reaches 165 degrees.
  • Add the heat-treated cake mix and rainbow sprinkles to your creamy mixture, then fold to combine.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, then top with more sprinkles. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for 3-4 days.

This funfetti dip has quickly become a family favorite and is now served at birthdays, holidays, and even just movie nights at home for a nostalgic sweet treat!

While this funfetti dip is good enough to eat with a spoon, some of my favorite dippers are graham crackers, vanilla wafers, mini chocolate chip cookies, teddy grahams, and animal crackers! You could even dip cut fruits like strawberries, apples, or pineapple too.

My top tips:

  • Make sure you whip the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar to form stiff peaks. An electric mixer is helpful here and really speeds up the process! You can also substitute the homemade whipped cream for thawed cool whip.
  • I like plain yogurt (not Greek) for this recipe because it adds the perfect amount of creaminess (without being too thick) and isn’t too sweet. Vanilla yogurt will work as well, just omit the vanilla extract in the recipe.
  • Folding everything together keeps this dips light and fluffy. It’s important to fold the yogurt and cake mix into the whipped cream rather than just mixing because it keeps the air inside the whipped cream!
  • I do recommend heat treating your cake mix for this recipe to prevent any unwanted/harmful bacteria from raw flour getting into your dip! You can easily heat treat the cake mix in the microwave by microwaving it for 60-90 seconds or by baking it in the oven on a sheet tray at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • I like to use jimmie rainbow sprinkles in this recipe because they don’t bleed like other sprinkles may. I love their bright color and soft texture as well!
  • Feel free to make this dip in advance for your next party or gathering, just be sure to pull it out of the fridge 15 minutes before serving to let it come to room temp!
