This cinnamon roll peach cobbler is a delicious combination of two classic desserts: cinnamon rolls and peach cobbler. The perfect sweet breakfast or dessert recipe!
Why you’ll love this recipe:
Soft, warm, sweet, and packed with the favors of cinnamon, peaches, and vanilla. Sweetened, juicy peaches are combined with buttery cinnamon rolls and baked to golden perfection!
Store-bought cinnamon rolls make this recipe super quick and easy! With only 6 ingredients and a little prep time, pre-made cinnamon rolls get transformed into a decadent treat that no one would ever guess uses a shortcut!
Ingredients you’ll need:
- Peach chunks- canned, frozen, or fresh
- Brown sugar
- Cornstarch
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Pillsbury cinnamon rolls
Warm, gooey cinnamon rolls always make me think of breakfast, but peach cobbler is usually a dessert, so feel free to serve this recipe at brunch, or after dinner and no one will think twice about it!
Made with cut up cinnamon rolls, an easy peach filling, and vanilla glaze, this is a tasty way to upgrade a classic. If you’re feeling crazy, you could even enjoy it alongside a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
How to make the best cinnamon roll peach cobbler:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. If using canned peaches, drain off any excess liquid.
- Combine peach chunks, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Then set aside for later.
- Cut each cinnamon roll into 6 pieces, then transfer all the cinnamon roll pieces into a 9×13 baking dish.
- Add the peach chunks from earlier into the baking dish and mix to combine with the cinnamon rolls.
- Bake for 40 minutes, let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls on top before enjoying!
This semi-homemade version of peach cobbler uses store-bought cinnamon rolls instead of a biscuit topping. The cinnamon roll pieces become soft and fluffy once they absorb some of the gooey peach filling and are completely irresistible!
Thanks to this easy shortcut, cinnamon roll peach cobbler takes 15 minutes to prepare and can be on the table in less than 1 hour from start to finish.
My top tips:
- FRESH, CANNED, OR FROZEN PEACHES: I like using canned peaches for this recipe because they are already peeled and chopped for me. If you would rather use fresh or frozen peaches that’s fine, just let the frozen peaches thaw before assembling the cobbler. If using fresh, you’ll need about 3 cups of peach chunks.
- CINNAMON ROLLS: I use the Pillsbury grands cinnamon rolls that come with 5 cinnamon rolls per can. You can use the 8 count cinnamon rolls too, just cut each one into 4 pieces rather than 6 pieces.
- VANILLA ICING: Be sure to reserve the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls! This is what you’ll top the cobbler with when it’s done baking. The icing will be thick and spreadable, so if you want it to be more of a drizzling consistency, warm it in the microwave for 10 seconds.
- COOLING: I do recommend letting this cinnamon roll peach cobbler cool for 5-10 minutes before drizzling the icing over top. This gives the cinnamon rolls a chance to soak up any of the excess peach juices.
- STORING LEFTOVERS: You can transfer any leftovers into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I just reheat in the microwave as needed!
