Cheez-It Butterfinger bites are made from Cheez-It’s, peanut butter, and chocolate! They’re crunchy, sweet, and actually taste like a Butterfinger!

Why you’ll love this recipe:

When you’re too lazy to make it to the grocery store for your favorite candy bar, make these Butterfinger bites at home instead! With only a few ingredients, an endless supply awaits you!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Cheez-It’s- I use the big ones, but regular works too!
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Vegetable oil

The simplicity of this no bake recipe makes it quick to put together and you probably already have all the ingredients on hand anyway! Great for parties, movie nights, or homemade gifts!

If you love Butterfingers as much as I do, you have to try my Butterfinger dip next! It’s creamy, packed with Butterfinger bits, and doesn’t require an oven either!

How to make the best Cheez-It Butterfinger bites:

  • Lay out half of the Cheez-Its on a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet.
  • Add 1 tsp of peanut butter on top of each Cheez-It, then top with another Cheez-It and lightly press down.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Dip each peanut butter Cheez-It sandwich halfway into the melted chocolate, then return to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Transfer to the fridge or freezer to set the chocolate before enjoying.

I know what you’re thinking, there’s no way these taste like a Butterfinger. That’s what I initially thought too. Until I tried them! 😉

Think of these sweet and savory bites as miniature candy bars made with a microwave and 4 ingredients! There’s nothing not to love! Give them a try and come back to let me know how it goes!

My top tips:

  • CHEEZ-IT VARIETY: I like using big Cheez-It’s for this because they can hold a little more peanut butter and are easier to handle since they aren’t as small, but feel free to use original Cheez-It’s too. You’ll just use a little less peanut butter to stuff each one.
  • PEANUT BUTTER VARIETY: I recommend using a creamy peanut butter like Jiff or Skippy because they are thick and sticky enough to hold the Cheez-It sandwich when pressed together. Some of the more natural varieties are too runny and will pour out of the sides of the Cheez-Its.
  • MICROWAVING THE CHOCOLATE: It’s important to microwave the chocolate in 30 second intervals, stirring between, to prevent burning. It should only take about 1 minute for the chocolate to fully melt and be ready for dipping!
  • WHY I ADD VEGETABLE OIL: Adding vegetable oil to the chocolate chips helps the chocolate become super smooth and the perfect consistency for dipping. I only dip the Cheez-It sandwiches halfway into the chocolate so that it doesn’t overpower the whole cracker, but you could also coat these completely in chocolate if you’d prefer!
  • SETTING THE CHOCOLATE: You can transfer these to the fridge or freezer to set the chocolate. If you’re impatient like me, the freezer will be a little faster but both ways work!
