Add more fruity and delicious desserts to your summer menu, like these Fruit Pizza Cookie Cups, Pina Colada Bites, Strawberry Crunch Bites, Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake Bites, and S’mores Strawberries.

Why you’ll love this recipe:

Easy Orange Creamsicle Dip is sweet, creamy, and bursting with zesty orange flavor in every bite! From the bright orange color combined with the creamy white layer to the zesty citrus flavor and iconic creamy notes, it’s the ultimate refreshing and sweet treat for a hot day.

If you’re a fan of Dreamsicles or Creamsicles, with those delicious orange and vanilla combo of flavors, then you are going to absolutely love this cool and refreshing Orange Creamsicle Dip. It tastes just like the classic ice cream, only it’s a layered dessert dip. It’s sweet, creamy, and light and because it’s a cold dessert it’s the perfect thing for spring or summer.

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Cream cheese- softened
  • Powdered sugar
  • Orange juice
  • Orange zest- divided
  • Cool whip- thawed
  • Instant orange Jell-O mix

Reminiscent of our childhoods, this no-bake orange creamsicle cheesecake dip is absolutely AMAZING! Layers of creamy cheesecake and bright orange combine to create a decadent, yet light and fluffy, scoopable dessert that is great for all occasions.

Orange Creamsicle Dip is the perfect sweet and citrusy cool down on a hot summer day. This creamy, no-bake dessert would be great to bring to a summer BBQ – easier (and less messy!) to eat than a melty drippy creamsicle on a stick, right?

I appreciate any recipe that requires ZERO oven time – especially when they taste this good. My favorite part is that this comes together so quickly and is always impressive. This is going to be your go to dessert all summer long! No need to turn on the oven and heat up the kitchen with this delicious dessert.

How to make the best Orange Creamsicle Dip:

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add in powdered sugar, orange juice and 2 tsp orange zest, then mix again until smooth.
  • Fold in the thawed Cool Whip, then transfer half of the cream cheese mixture into a pie plate or shallow serving dish, and spread into an even layer.
  • Pour orange Jell-O mix into the remaining cream cheese mixture, then mix to combine.
  • Spread the orange Jell-O flavored mixture on top of the cream cheese layer, then top with remaining orange zest.
  • Refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

I love how this is one of those simple but fabulous recipes that everyone seems to love. It’s creamy and rich and tastes like a Creamsicle. Of course, this makes it a favorite for anyone who grew up with the nostalgic Creamsicle ice cream treat!

This dip comes together in minutes and is just as good with fresh fruit as it is with graham crackers…trust me, you need this dip. Not only is this easy dip a great choice for the hot summer months, but it’s also ideal for holidays, potlucks or whenever you need an easy dessert!

Serve it chilled with shortbread cookies, vanilla wafers, or graham crackers for a sweet, refreshing treat, perfect for any occasion. Fresh fruit like pineapple or strawberries would be great dippers too!

My top tips:

  • SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE: Softened cream cheese is key in this recipe! It’s super important to make sure your cream cheese is fully softened so that it incorporates into the other ingredients easily and ensures your dip will be super smooth rather than lumpy.
  • ELECTRIC MIXER: I do recommend bringing out your electric mixer for this dip because it makes combining the ingredients a breeze and whips a lot of air into the ingredients making them extra light and fluffy.
  • ZESTING: Using fresh orange zest (and juice) in this recipe makes all the difference in getting the best orange flavor. Try to remember to zest your oranges before squeezing all the juice out of them. This makes zesting much easier since the oranges are still firm and in one piece. Remember to reserve a little zest for garnishing later too!
  • COOL WHIP: Using frozen whipped topping adds even more ease and convenience to this already easy recipe! Rather than taking the time to whip heavy cream, just make sure your whipped topping is fully thawed before use.
  • SERVING DISH: I like serving this dip in something wide and shallow, like a pie plate, so that there’s more surface to spread the layers, ensuring you’ll get both layers in every bite!
  • STORING: You can make this dip ahead of time and store it covered in the fridge for up to 4 days. I do recommend taking it out of the fridge about 20 minutes ahead of time to let it soften a little before enjoying.
