oreo peanut butter popcorn

No movie night in my house is complete without popcorn! If you like this Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn, you’ll also like my Cinnamon Roll Popcorn, Peanut Butter Popcorn, and Marshmallow Caramel Popcorn!

Why you’ll love this recipe:

Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn is perfect for a night in while binge-watching your favorite series on Netflix. I love this sweet popcorn recipe for tailgating, parties, or just a simple dessert at home. Sweet and salty for the win!

I absolutely love the sweet and salty flavor combination of this Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn. The richness of the white chocolate and peanut butter, the chocolate crunch of the Oreo cookies, and the saltiness of the buttery popcorn… It’s so addictive!

You just need a few bags of microwave popcorn (or you can pop your own kernels), some cookies to crumble, and white chocolate chips and peanut butter to melt. Mix it all together to get this sweet popcorn recipe!

Ingredients you’ll need

  • Popcorn
  • Oreos- crushed
  • White chocolate chips
  • Creamy peanut butter

If you’re a 90s kid or a rom-com junkie, you probably remember that scene in The Parent Trap—yes, the one where Lindsay Lohan’s characters bond over their shared love of dipping Oreos in peanut butter. A weird combo? Maybe. But if you’ve ever tried it, you know it’s weirdly amazing.

This Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn is a tribute to that unforgettable scene—and the perfect mash-up of sweet, salty, and nostalgic. This Oreo popcorn is so good, you will not be able to stop snacking on it. Seriously delicious. I love the flavor of salty popcorn with all the sweetness of white chocolate and Oreos. One of my new favorite snacks!

I’ve never met anyone that doesn’t like Oreos. Not only are they delicious by themselves, but they make a great addition to desserts! This Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn is a favorite, as well as my Banana Split Oreos, Oreo Truffle Stuffed Strawberries, Peanut Butter Dipped Oreos, and Oreo Dip!

How to make the best Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn:

  • Pour your popcorn into a large mixing bowl, making sure to remove any unpopped kernels, then set aside for later.
  • Add your Oreo cookies into the bowl of a food processor and pulse to crush the cookies into small pieces. You can also break  them up with a Ziploc bag and rolling pin if you don’t have a food processor.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in-between until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate and peanut butter into your bowl of popcorn, then mix to coat. Add in the crushed Oreo pieces, then mix again to combine.
  • Transfer the popcorn to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat to cool completely, then break into pieces before storing or enjoying!

Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn is a sweet and salty snack that will definitely have you wanting more! Popcorn coated in white chocolate, peanut butter, and chunks of Oreos – this is perfect for a group or movie night.

Oreo Peanut Butter Popcorn is perfect whether you are making a little or a lot – it comes together so quickly so it’s easy to feed the masses!

If you’re feeding a smaller crowd, feel free to half the recipe and use one bag of popcorn rather than two. Just don’t forget to remove any unpopped kernels so no one hurts their teeth while shoveling this Oreo popcorn down!

My top tips:

  • POPCORN VARIETY: You’ll need roughly 20 cups of popcorn for this recipe- but it’s up to you how you pop it. Feel free to pop your own using about 1 cup kernels, use 2 microwave bags, or buy pre-popped popcorn in a bag. If you like sweet and salty, I recommend opting for a bag of movie theater butter popcorn!
  • FOOD PROCESSOR: If you don’t have a food processor to crush the Oreos, you can do it by hand too. You’ll just add your Oreos into a large Ziploc bag and use something heavy, like a rolling pin, to smash the cookies into smaller pieces.
  • MELTING THE CHOCOLATE: White chocolate can be a little temperamental when melting, so it’s important to gently melt the white chocolate and peanut butter in 30 second intervals to prevent the chocolate from seizing or clumping.
  • COATING THE POPCORN: It’s important to use the largest bowl you own when making this recipe because it makes a big batch. The bigger the bowl, the easier this popcorn is to mix!
  • COOLING: I recommend transferring the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet to finish cooling. This prevents the popcorn from clumping together and ensures all the chocolate has set before storing or enjoying.
  • STORING: Transfer any leftover popcorn into a ziploc bag or airtight container and store in a cool, dry place at room temperature for up to 3 days.
