Pecan Pie Bites are mini, handheld treats filled with sweet, buttery pecan filling and rich caramel flavor, offering all the goodness of classic pecan pie in a bite-sized form.

Love pecans? Check out my Pecan Pie Bark, Pecan Pie Ritz Cookies, Caramel Pecan Clusters, and Pecan Pie Dip!

Why you’ll love this recipe:

If you love classic pecan pie but want something easier, cuter, and perfectly portioned, you’re going to fall in love with these mini pecan pie tarts made with phyllo cups. These bite-sized treats deliver all the rich, buttery, nutty goodness of traditional pecan pie — but in a crispy, flaky shell that’s ready in minutes. They’re perfect for holiday parties, dessert tables, or anytime you need an easy make-ahead sweet that impresses every guest!

Imagine the flavor of warm, gooey pecan pie filling — sweet brown sugar, hints of vanilla, and toasty pecans — all nestled inside a light, crispy phyllo shell. Each bite is the perfect balance of crunch and caramelized sweetness. The buttery pecans and the delicate layers of phyllo pastry create a contrast that’s absolutely irresistible. These tarts are rich but not heavy, sweet but not overwhelming — a true holiday indulgence that’s perfectly portioned.

Traditional pecan pie is a beloved dessert, but let’s be honest — slicing and serving can get messy. That’s where mini pecan pie tarts come in! By using store-bought phyllo cups, you skip the pie crust entirely, saving time while adding a crispy, crunchy twist. The result? A modern, bite-sized version of pecan pie that’s just as comforting but much more convenient.

Plus, they’re easy to customize — drizzle them with melted chocolate, top them with whipped cream, or even add a sprinkle of sea salt for a sweet and salty combination.

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Store-bought phyllo shells
  • Brown sugar
  • Light corn syrup
  • Egg
  • Butter- melted
  • Vanilla extract
  • Pecans – chopped

The holidays are all about sharing good food, and these mini Pecan Pie Bites make sharing effortless. Their small size makes them ideal for dessert buffets, cookie exchanges, or holiday potlucks. No plates, no forks, no slicing — just grab-and-go deliciousness.

They also make a great addition to a Thanksgiving dessert spread or a Christmas cookie platter. Guests love that they can enjoy a bite of pecan pie without committing to a full slice, leaving room to sample everything else on the table!

One of the best things about these mini pecan pies in phyllo cups is how simple they are to prepare. You only need a few ingredients — brown sugar, corn syrup, egg, butter, vanilla, pecans, and pre-made phyllo shells.

Just whisk together the filling, spoon it into the cups, and bake until golden and bubbly. In less than 30 minutes, you’ll have warm, homemade pecan tarts that taste like they took hours to make. Pro tip: You can make them ahead of time and store them in an airtight container. They reheat beautifully in just a few minutes in the oven.

Whether you’re hosting a big family dinner or looking for a quick dessert to bring to a party, these Pecan Pie Bites check every box — easy, delicious, impressive, and totally festive. They’re proof that you don’t need to bake a whole pie to enjoy the flavors of the season.

How to make the best Pecan Pie Bites:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Place the phyllo shells onto your prepared baking sheet, then set aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, light corn syrup, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped pecans, then generously fill the phyllo shells with the pecan filling.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden on the edges.

These mini Pecan Pie Bites are a creative and modern take on the classic holiday pie. Instead of spending time rolling out pie crust and baking a full pie, you can simply fill pre-made phyllo cups with a quick pecan mixture and bake them until bubbly and golden.

It’s the same comforting flavor everyone loves, just easier to make and serve. Plus, they look absolutely adorable on a dessert platter! You can even dress them up with a drizzle of chocolate, a dollop of whipped cream, or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for an extra-special touch.

There’s no dessert that says “holiday” quite like pecan pie, but these pecan pie phyllo bites take it to the next level of convenience. They’re perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any festive gathering. And if you love hosting, these are a lifesaver: they can be made ahead of time and served warm or at room temperature, freeing you up to enjoy your party.

Each pecan pie bite is a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The golden, crispy phyllo shells add a light crunch that contrasts beautifully with the rich, caramel-like pecan filling. You get all the classic flavors of a homemade pecan pie — buttery, nutty, sweet, and slightly toasty — but in a single, satisfying bite. They’re indulgent without being too heavy, and because they’re bite-sized, you can enjoy one (or five!) without any guilt. 😉

My top tips:

  • PHYLLO SHELLS: These flakey little cups are made with layers of phyllo dough and come pre-baked, so all you do is fill, bake to crisp them up, and serve. Phyllo shells can be found in your grocery store’s freezer section, often next to the puff pastry, but phyllo dough is not the same as puff pastry. Usually, there’s 15 to a box and this recipe makes 30, so grab 2 boxes.
  • PECANS: I’d recommend using walnuts if you don’t like pecans. They’re similar in both texture and taste!
  • FILLING: Do not overfill the phyllo shells with the pecan filling. You still want to leave a little room in each phyllo shell to allow the filling to slightly puff as it bakes.
  • STORING: Store any leftover Pecan Pie Bites in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to 1 week. If the shells lose their crispness, place them on a baking sheet and reheat in a 350 degree F oven for 5 minutes.
