Peanut butter dipped Oreos are filled with peanut butter, coated in a mixture of melted white chocolate and peanut butter chips, then topped with peanut butter candies!
If you like these peanut butter dipped Oreos, you’ll love my fluffernutter Ritz cookies too! They’re both incredibly easy to make, in fact, I think the hardest part is just waiting for the chocolate coating to set!
Why you’ll love this recipe:
Oreos are great on their own, but they’re about 1000x better when dipped in peanut butter. With only 6 ingredients and no baking required, this simple treat hits all the notes! Crunchy, salty, and sweet!
Ingredients you’ll need:
- Oreos
- Creamy peanut butter
- Peanut butter chips
- White chocolate chips
- Vegetable oil
- Reese’s pieces
These peanut butter dipped Oreos are the ultimate no bake treat for when you want cookies but just can’t be bothered to turn your oven on!
The combination of the sweet and silky outer layer of peanut butter and white chocolate mixed with the crunchy Oreo and creamy peanut butter inside is just unmatched. Oreos never tasted so good!
How to make the best peanut butter dipped Oreos:
- Working one by one, open each Oreo, add 1 tsp of peanut butter to either side, then sandwich the Oreo back together.
- In a microwave safe bowl, combine peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth.
- Coat each peanut butter stuffed Oreo in the melted chocolate, let any excess chocolate run off, then transfer to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Immediately top each one with chopped Reese’s pieces, then transfer to the fridge to set the chocolate coating.
The classic combination of peanut butter and chocolate, with the nostalgic flavor of Oreo cookies put these peanut butter dipped Oreos high on my list for nearly any occasion.
These may look fancy, but they couldn’t be any easier to make! Simple enough to whip up day of or make in advance. Even better, they’re easily portable when you want to share!
My top tips:
- Try your best to not overfill the Oreos. You’ll only need 1 tsp of peanut butter per cookie. If you overfill them, the peanut butter will just push out the edges of the Oreo when the halves are sandwiched back together.
- Adding a little vegetable oil to the chocolate chips is my secret trick for silky smooth chocolate every time! The vegetable oil thins out the chocolate and makes it much easier to coat the Oreos.
- After you coat the Oreos, tap the cookie against the bowl so the excess chocolate drips off. You’ll want to scrape all the excess chocolate off the bottom of your Oreos so that it won’t create a pool or “foot” at the bottom of your cookies.
- It’s important to top these with chopped Reese’s pieces before the coating has set. The wet chocolate acts as a glue for the candy pieces to stick to, so once the chocolate sets, the candies won’t stick.
- Looking to make these a little festive? Feel free to skip the Reese’s pieces and add some holiday sprinkles on top of the chocolate coating before letting it harden. Switch out the sprinkle colors depending on the occasion or skip the toppings all together and enjoy them as is!
- I like storing any leftovers in an airtight container or Ziploc bag in the fridge. This keeps the Oreos extra crunchy and fresh for weeks!
