Making cookie dough balls is as easy as mixing the 6-ingredient dough, just as you would with regular cookies, then rolling into bite-sized balls! They’re a quick and delicious snack that’s ready in 10 minutes with no oven required!

No butter, no eggs, no flour, no leavening agents, and these still have the flavor of your favorite monster cookie!
Creamy peanut butter, honey, and chewy oats combine to create these chocolate chip and m&m filled monster cookie dough balls. Every bite is full of chocolate chips and m&m’s, making them completely irresistible!
How to make the best monster cookie dough balls:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey, and vanilla. Mix until smooth, then fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and m&m’s.
- Using clean hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch sized balls. Transfer the balls to an airtight container and store in the fridge until ready to enjoy.

I won’t go as far to qualify these as energy bites, but they do have a little protein from the peanut butter, fiber from the oats so it might as well be a heath food as far as I’m concerned 😉
Even better, they store perfectly in the fridge for several days and are truly the perfect grab and go snack. Easy to pack up for picnics and road trips too!

My top tips:
- It’s important you’re using old fashioned oats in this recipe. Quick oats or steel cut oats will not be the right texture here.
- If you’re having a trouble rolling the mixture into balls, try squeezing the mixture together with your hands a few times before rolling. This helps everything stick together and prevents crumbling.
- Mini chocolate chips and mini m&m’s are perfectly sized for these bite-sized treats! You can use regular sized chocolate chips and m&m’s, I just recommend giving them a rough chop before adding them to the cookie dough mixture.
- I love keeping these monster cookie dough balls in the fridge for a quick treat any time of day! I like enjoying them cold, but you can let them come to room temp before enjoying too. These will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
