- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

You’ve probably seen buffalo style pretzels at the grocery store like Snyder’s Hot Buffalo Pretzel Pieces. This homemade version is very similar to those, but now you can make them using your favorite buffalo sauce and make them as mild or as spicy as you like!
My top tips:
- PRETZEL VARITIES: I like using pretzel nuggets, thick pretzels broken into pieces, or even pretzel rods broken into pieces, because they really absorb the buffalo sauce. Feel free to experiment with pretzel sticks, mini pretzel twists or pretzel snaps for this recipe too.
- HOT SAUCE: My favorite hot sauce is Franks, I 100% stand by the slogan of I put that sh*t on everything, because I do! You can use the Franks buffalo wing sauce, or just regular Franks Red Hot here.
- BAKING: The pretzels will seem very wet when you initially put them in the oven, but that is completely normal! The pretzels will soak up all the buffalo sauce and dry back out while they bake.
- TOSSING: It’s important to toss the pretzels halfway through baking to prevent the tops of the pretzels from burning and to ensure the bottoms of your pretzel pieces don’t become soggy.
- COOLING: I recommend letting your buffalo pretzel pieces cool completely before storing or enjoying. If you’re storing these to enjoy later, you can transfer them to an airtight container or Ziploc bag and keep them in your pantry for up to a week!

These look delicious! Do you think it would work with oil instead of the butter?
Sophie says
Hi Jessica! Any neutral oil like vegetable, canola, or avocado oil would be great in place of the melted butter! Hope you try it! 馃檪
