I’ve always loved S’mores. Gimme graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows any day of the week! But this time, I swapped out the traditional graham crackers in this s’mores bites recipe for soft pretzel bites to get a bit of a salty kick. And I’m so glad I did!
A S’mores Pretzel Bite is a delicious mix of salty, sweet, smooth, and crunchy! Made in mere minutes using gooey marshmallow fluff for filling between soft pretzel bites, then dipping each one in melted chocolate and sprinkling graham cracker crumbs on top!
The soft pretzels perfectly balance the rich chocolate while also contrasting the gooey marshmallow! They also adds a fun twist to a classic treat!
How to make the best S’mores Pretzel Bites:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, then slice each pretzel bite in half, keeping the back side connected.
- Sandwich 1 tsp of marshmallow fluff inside of each pretzel bite, then place them on the lined baking sheet. Set aside for later.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips with vegetable oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth.
- Dip each marshmallow stuffed pretzel bite halfway into the melted chocolate, then return to the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top of the chocolate dipped halves, then let the chocolate set completely before enjoying!

My top tips:
- SLICING: When slicing the pretzel bites in half lengthwise, I find it helpful to keep the backs of the pretzel bites intact so that when you fill them with marshmallow fluff, the tops of the pretzel bites won’t slide around.
- MARSHMALLOW FLUFF: I like using the back of a spoon to spread the marshmallow fluff inside of the pretzel bites, but you can also use the back of an offset spatula, a knife, or even a piping bag if you want to be extra neat with it.
- FILLING: Try your best to not overfill the pretzel bites. You’ll only need 1 tsp of marshmallow fluff in each! If you overfill them, the marshmallow will just seep out the edges of the pretzels and become a big sticky mess!
- VEGETABLE OIL: Adding a little vegetable oil to the chocolate is my secret trick for silky smooth chocolate every time! The vegetable oil thins out the chocolate a little and makes it much easier to dip the pretzel bites.
- CHOCOLATE: I find that dipping these s’mores pretzels only halfway into the chocolate is the perfect amount of chocolate to not overpower the marshmallow flavor. You can also drizzle the chocolate over top of the pretzel bites if you prefer.
- GRAHAM CRACKER CRUMBS: The addition of graham cracker crumbs on top of these S’mores Pretzel Bites not only gives them a little crunchy texture, but it also mimics the flavors of a real s’more! You can buy ready to go graham cracker crumbs from the grocery store or crush 1 graham cracker sheet yourself.
- CHILLING: You can let these set at room temperature, but it may take hours for the chocolate to fully harden. To speed up the process, feel free to place these s’mores pretzels in the fridge for 15 minutes to set the chocolate.
- STORING: These s’mores pretzel bites are best stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days for optimal freshness. I think they are delicious cold, directly from the fridge, but feel free to let them come to room temperature before enjoying as well.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD:
You can use regular marshmallows for this recipe too, but you will need to bake the pretzels in order for it to work. I like the creme because you get that oozy filling without having to turn on the oven.
But, if you prefer to use marshmallows you can! Cut a large marshmallow in half and place one half on a pretzel bite. Bake them for two minutes at 350°F or just until the marshmallows start to melt. Place the other pretzel half on top and gently press so the melted marshmallow squeezes to the edges.
