These no bake puppy chow truffles encapsulate all the delicious flavors of traditional puppy chow in one bite-sized treat! They’re simple to put together and perfect for nearly any occasion you can think of!

Why you’ll love these easy puppy chow truffles!

These bite-sized balls are a delicious balance of crunchy, creamy and sweet! Made with Chex cereal, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar and semi-sweet chocolate, they have a slight crunch from the Chex and a nostalgic powdered sugar finish that coats your fingers!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • Chex rice cereal
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Puppy chow truffles are a fun spin on the traditional party snack we all know and love! They’re quick to make, only require 4 ingredients and everyone is guaranteed to love them!

How to make the best puppy chow truffles:

  • Step 1: Add Chex cereal and peanut butter to the bowl of your food processor, mix to break up the cereal, then add in powdered sugar and mix again to form a dough consistency. Let chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2: Roll the mixture into even sized balls, then cover each one in melted chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing them on parchment lined baking sheets.
  • Step 3: Transfer the chocolate covered truffles to the fridge for another 30 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
  • Step 4: Make sure the chocolate is fully set before coating each one in powdered sugar. Shake off any excess sugar before enjoying!

My top tips!

  • Let the Chex and peanut butter mixture chill in the fridge before rolling into balls. This prevents the mixture from sticking all over your hands!
  • If you’re chocolate is looking a little thick, add 1 tbsp of melted coconut oil to thin it out. This makes it easier to coat the truffles evenly.
  • Make sure the chocolate coating is completely hardened before rolling the truffles in powdered sugar. The powdered sugar sticks much better to the cold chocolate and is much less messy!
