Servings: 26 truffles
- 10 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes 2 (8 oz) boxes
- 4 oz softened cream cheese 1/2 a block
- 2 cups white chocolate chips 1 (12 oz) bag
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp green sanding sugar
- 3 drops red food coloring or more if needed
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and softened cream cheese. Using an electric mixer on low speed, mix until a dough forms.
Roll the dough into 1 tbsp balls, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat as you go.
In a microwave safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips with vegetable oil and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
Working one by one, coat each dough ball in the melted chocolate. Using a fork, take each ball out of the bowl, shake off any excess chocolate, then return to the lined baking sheet and immediately sprinkle with green sanding sugar.
Add red food coloring into the remaining melted white chocolate, adding a few drops until you reach your desired shade of red, then transfer the chocolate into a ziploc bag, cut off one end, and drizzle the red chocolate over the truffles.
Transfer to the fridge or freezer for 15 minutes to set the chocolate drizzle. Once set, carefully break off the excess candy-coating pieces around each truffle before enjoying!
