Ingredients

  • 3 (16 oz) containers large strawberries
  • 1 (3 oz) box strawberry jello
  • 1 cup water boiling
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Wash and dry your strawberries, then slice off the tops and bottoms to ensure they can stand up straight.
  • Use a melon baller to scoop out the center of each strawberry, making sure to not puncture through the bottom.
  • Add one cup of water into a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil. Pour the strawberry jello mix into a large mixing bowl, then pour in the boiling water and vodka.
  • Whisk to dissolve the jello powder, then pour the jello shot mixture into a measuring cup or some other container with a spout.
  • Pour the jello mixture to fill each strawberry, then transfer to the fridge for at least 2 hours or until the jello has set.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips with vegetable oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Dip the bottom half of each strawberry into the melted chocolate and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Place in the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
