Servings: 9 fritters
- 1 (16 oz) tube flaky biscuits chopped
- 1 large apple peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp water or milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, then set aside.
Separate the biscuits from each other and cut each biscuit into 10 pieces. You can also core, peel and chop your apple into similar sized pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, combine biscuits, apple pieces, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then mix until well combined.
Scoop the mixture into 1/4 cup portions onto the prepared baking sheet and shape and press each scoop to hold together.
Brush each one with melted butter, then bake until golden brown, 14-17 minutes.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, water (or milk), and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
Drizzle over the fritters, and serve warm!
