Italian Sausage Dip

- 1 lb mild or hot Italian sausage browned
- 1 8 oz block softened cream cheese
- 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes drained
- 1 cup chopped banana peppers
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
In a pan over medium heat, break up and brown your sausage. Drain off any excess grease, then transfer the sausage to a mixing bowl.
In the same bowl, add in softened cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes, drained and chopped banana peppers, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a 9 inch cast iron or 10.5 inch X 7.5 inch baking dish. Spread into an even layer, then top with remaining cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with toasted bread or chips of choice
